Zallie’s Recognizes Earth Day
Zallie’s Goes Green For Earth Day with ‘Plant-A-Seed’ Event
In recognition of Earth Day, Zallie’s stores showed their appreciation for the environment and community through their fun-filled ‘Plant-A-Seed’ event. This event took place outside of Scrunchy’s Playhouse at five store locations: Williamstown, Sicklerville, West Berlin, Glassboro, and West Deptford.
Children of all ages were encouraged to ‘go green’ and take part in the Earth Day festivities! Planting stations were available for kids to choose their favorite vegetable or flower to plant. To promote environmentally friendly practices, wafer ice cream cones were used as planters. The participating children and their parents were educated on the importance of waste reduction and how the cones they used were biodegradable, therefore they could be directly planted into the ground to reduce waste.
Each child that participated in the event received a certificate of participation to recognize their initiative to save the earth. Along with the certificate, they also received an unopened package of seeds to practice at home and a reusable bag keychain as a friendly reminder to ‘go green’ when shopping with their parents.
Zallie’s takes pride in their active fight to protect the earth and educate customers on proper environmentally friendly procedures.
We hope to see you next year for our next ‘Plant-A-Seed’ spectacular!
